OUR PEOPLE

The In House Pro Bono Group is a working group of over 300 in house professionals representing 100+ organisations. Our members are active in organising the pro bono programmes for their organisations.

We are led by a Steering Committee and supported by a Junior Steering Committee:

Deborah sits on the Global Policy and Documents Leadership Team, responsible for Risk, at Goldman Sachs International. She serves as co-chair of the firm's EMEA Pro Bono Committee. Deborah also serves as a member of the board of trustees of LawWorks.

Mia is data security legal counsel at Bloomberg L.P. She is also the chair of Bloomberg's EMEA Pro Bono Committee.

Sarah is a Director and Assistant General Counsel at Bank of America, where she advises on ESG finance, Brexit planning and other regulatory matters. She serves as co-Head of BofA’s EMEA Pro Bono Committee and Head of Community Engagement for the EMEA legal department.

Juan Lázaro Peña (he/him) is Senior Managing Counsel, Regulatory Law for Visa Inc. in Europe. He founded and chaired the Visa Europe Pro Bono Committee and co-founded and co-chaired the Via Transportation Pro Bono Committee.

Antonio LI

Antonio is an Assistant General Counsel and Head of ViiV Functions at ViiV Healthcare (majority owned by GSK plc). He is a member of GSK’s Global Pro Bono Committee and UK Charitable Contributions Committee and leads on pro bono initiatives in the UK.​

Michael is a Legal Director at LSEG with a focus on benchmarks, data, cyber security and legal excellence. He co-founded LSEG Pro Bono and continues to co-chair its governing committee. Having spent his career in-house, Michael is passionate about enabling in-house lawyers to take part in pro bono work.

Laura is a Director at Citi, where she advises on International Litigation & Regulatory Investigations matters.  She is a member of Citi's Global Pro Bono Committee and has served as co-chair of Citi's Global and EMEA Pro Bono Committees.

Tessa is a Managing Associate General Counsel for HSBC Asset Management. She serves as Chair of HSBC's Global Legal Volunteering Committee, which aims to source opportunities and promote volunteering within HSBC's legal team.

Alex is a Director, covering Europe, at Harrison Street (an investment management firm) and has been involved in a variety of pro bono matters.  He is particularly interested in helping in house counsel from smaller legal teams access the pro bono market.

Laura is Senior Corporate Counsel at Amazon UK. She established and leads Amazon UK’s Pro Bono Committee, and heads Amazon’s EU Pro Bono programme.

Lily is a Legal Counsel supporting HSBC's Asset Management business. Alongside her role, Lily is involved HSBC's pro bono programme and volunteers monthly with a Domestic Violence Legal Clinic.

Brooke is Senior Legal Counsel at IQ-EQ, a global investor services company. She supports IQ-EQ’s ESG and CSR initiatives through volunteering and is particularly passionate about supporting the care sector.

Anna is a legal counsel at Columbia Threadneedle Investments with a focus on Alternatives and Responsible Investment. Anna currently acts as a relationship manager for two of the organisation’s partner charities and is working on developing a pro bono programme for the EMEA legal team.

Rebecca is Legal Counsel in GSK's Legal Brand Protection department. During her training, she has actively contributed to a range of pro bono initiatives, including legal clinics and supporting charitable organisations through GSK's Impact Awards.

Chloe is a newly qualified solicitor on United Utilities’ commercial and construction team. She is keen to raise awareness about the pro-bono opportunities available to in-house lawyers, with a particular focus on the north-west.
